The SAFE Glen Cove Coalition, Glen Cove Police Department and Nassau County Police Department recognize the growing trend of opiate/heroin abuse spreading across Long Island. In an effort to combat the increasing number of opiate abusers and fatal overdoses occurring in Nassau County, Detective Pamela Stark of the Nassau County Police Department Community speaks to students at Glen Cove High School as they prepare for the prom season. Students have the opportunity to learn about drug trends, signs of abuse and how to make their homes and communities safer.
